These boutique boltholes are set on farmland in glorious Aberdeenshire in Scotland and are more glamour and luxury than glamping pods or camping.
We have designed each bothy to encourage the outside in where guests take a deep breath and slow down into bothy life. Each bothy has their own playful character and authentic nod to its agricultural history, sited independently of each other in their own spot on our farm. All are filled with vintage treasures and endless little touches for a truly memorable stay. Be our guests at Boutique Farm Bothies – slow down relax feel closer to nature and rejuvenate!
A beautiful gorgeous stay! Jane was very welcoming and hospitable – we paid extra for a home made pizza hamper for the wood fired pizza oven, amazing! The farmhouse was stunning, lovely farmland all around and great walks, loved the decor, and of course the hot tub! My only small tiny recommendation would be to put a gate on the outside decking area so dogs can be off the lead outside safely – but apart from that absolutely fantastic!!

We had an amazing few days away at Dairy by denend. The little touches throughout the place were perfect. It’s a lovely place to slow down and relax. Thank you again to Jane for being a brilliant host. We can’t wait to come back.

We had a really good couple of days at The Diary to kickstart a mini-moon and tour of Scotland. There was a prepaid hamper with locally sourced food but also additional homemade food gifts – the scones and jam were delicious. All food was thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed. The accommodation itself was really rustic and unique. We love how it had a story to tell. It was very comfortable and cosy once we mastered the wood burners too. The diary is on the door step to some beautiful scenery and walks of which our dog thoroughly enjoyed. We enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and cooking on the wood powered range, both very unique experiences.

Spent 2 nights at Barley Bothy and what a magical stay it was. I absolutely loved the rustic feel of the entire place. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and had lots of fun making the fire go when heating up the stove and the hot tub. Jane kindly helped and came straight to us when we needed help with heating up the tub! Loved the whole experience and the homemade treats we received. I am sure we will be back during the warmer months for a different experience. Thank you again 🙂

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in The Sheep Shed. The bothy was so unique, boiling the kettle on the stove reminded me of my grandparents’ houses when I was young! The stove kept the bothy cosy, and the hot tub outside was great! Communication with Jane when we booked was really good, she also provided very helpful recommendations for the local area. The freshly baked bread and homemade jam was an added bonus! Highly recommend Boutique Farm Bothies for a different type of break

A beautiful, quaint house. Thoughtfully put together to make it a home from home. Clean and cosy. The personal touches from Jane went above and beyond.

Cant speak highly enough of our stay at The Dairy Denend. All our needs catered for. Beautiful quirky decor, very comfortable. Lovely to go somewhere to completely switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Loved the copper bath, pizza oven and the hot tub. View out of the bedroom is fab. We weren’t far from home but it felt worlds apart. Thank you Jane for a lovely stay. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Dairy at Denend. A warm welcome from Jane the owner, home made jam, home grown strawberries, delicious cakes. The property is funky and cosy and very private. On a dead end road so only very minimal traffic passing. Amazing attention to detail in the interiors and exteriors.
Great base for visiting beautiful beaches on the Aberdeenshire coast. Also recommend the gardens at Haddo House.

Me and my husband stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon in early July 2021 and could not sing its praises enough The Barley bothy it’s self was absolutely stunning, it felt really secluded and private. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond during our stay. They left us a lovely bottle of bubbles to celebrate our honeymoon, which was lovely with the fresh strawberries grown on site.

Just home from a fabulous 7 night stay at Denend Farmhouse. Beautiful home that you can just settle into so easily, nestled amongst the most stunning barley filled landscape. The most peaceful spot, well off the beaten track with everything you need, including no TV. So books, board games and long lazy dinners after a day exploring this lovely part of Scotland or soaking in the hot tub soaking up the view. Perfect. Met the lovely Tallulah too!

A lovely little hidden gem where the loudest sound is the buzzing bees. We spent time in Barley Bothy which was quirky, spacious and clean. Kids loved the hot tub, husband loved the pizza oven and I loved the peace. Can’t recommend enough

What a fabulous idyllic retreat. Barley Bothy was beautifully decorated, comfortable and set in a wonderful peaceful location. We had a relaxing weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the pizza making kit, fresh bread, hand-picked strawberries, homemade strawberry jam and fudge supplied by Jane. We made use of the hot tub and found the whole experience the best re-set button. Thank you so much Boutique Farm Bothies. Can’t recommend you enough.

We were honored to be visited by Maxim Nekliudov from the Granite Town Film Project in 2021. His film beautifully captures the story of Boutique Farm Bothies and our vision for agritourism in the North-East of Scotland.
